Pick of the Week: Coppola's Keratin Treatment Products

So I got a haircut yesterday at my favorite snipping place, and guess what my stylist had to say? DAMAGE, DRYNESS, DISASTER! Well, maybe not in those words, but she kept tsking as she brushed through my mane of tangled hair. Now that I think about it actually, she would occasionally stop and mutter "dry, dry,  dry" - an ominous sign that meant expensive treatments were coming my way. After figuring out that it was the hugely publicized Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable shampoo that was creating havoc (oily roots, dry ends) on my hair, I decided to chuck it out and go for broke with a new brand.

After exhaustive online research I settled on two very eligible hair products, Coppola's Keratin Complex shampoo and its promising Vanilla Bean deep conditioner. Lucky little me managed to find this brand here locally at the Greenbelt Piandre salon, and this is what I have to say about it:

Wowza! Every day can be a Brazilian blow-dry day!!! More after the jump!

If you've met me, or known me for awhile, you'll know that my hair has a strange texture. I like to call it "dented" as opposed to wavy or straight - because it falls into such an odd in-between category. It isn't frizzy, but it poufs up in humid temperatures, definitely not glamorous by any means. I must have tried dozens of shampoos in my college years, trying to figure out a perfect combination for winter months (we didn't get the Pantene Winter Rescue line in Paris), but nothing had come close to the Kerastase products I had come to rely on. Until now.

I kid you not, I can run my fingers through my hair without so much as a snag. My roots are perfectly moisturized, and my hair feels light and so, so, SO soft. Now I know what all the fuss is about with the Brazilian blow-dry! Its main ingredient being keratin, the Brazilian blow-dry promises unparalleled smoothness and softness unlike any other hot oil or serum treatment. I was never a fan of the rebonding process simply because it caused to much damage and had a distinct chemical smell - while the keratin complex soothes your hair naturally with even better results! Plus, did I forget to mention that it's sulfate-free? No more color-stripping and dryness!

And that's just the shampoo! Seeing how badly parched my hair was, I decided to buy the deep conditioning treatment as opposed to the regular conditioner - and wow. It has little specks of vanilla, and the buttery feeling of whipped icing - but it doesn't cause oil buildup! My hair feels so healthy instead of weighed down. I can't tell you what a relief it is to be able to STOP LOOKING (at least for now).

Girls, I'm telling you. JACKPOT.

  1. Hi,

How much did it cost you for the shampoo and conditioner?

I'm planning to try it as well.

    Thanks for the info :)

  2. Hi Honey,

the shampoo was around 895, 1095 for the conditioner ;)
